Choosing and fitting

Where do I start?

With a professional hearing test. It determines which hearing aid and which fitting are right for you. After it, you go over your routine: where you find it hard to hear and how much time you spend there.

Can the hearing test take place at home?

Yes. At G-Sound you can arrange a hearing test at home nationwide, by appointment.

What does the fitting process include?

Choosing the level and style, choosing the speaker and dome or tube based on the hearing test and the shape of the ear, adjusting the hearing aid, and pairing with your phone if you wish. After a first period of use it is worth coming back for an adjustment. Read more

What should I ask in the first consultation?

Which level and style suit your hearing test and routine, how charging works, whether your phone is suitable, which accessories are relevant to you, and what the adjustments after the fitting look like.

Daily use

Does Philips HearLink connect to every phone?

Not necessarily. According to Philips, there are calls without holding the phone with iPhone and iPad, and with Android devices and Windows computers that support LE Audio. It is worth bringing your phone to the appointment and checking the connection in practice. Read more

How do I hear the TV with HearLink?

According to Philips, the TV Adapter sends the TV sound straight to the hearing aids, and you can listen at a volume that suits you. Read more

How long does a charge last?

Actual use time depends on how you use the hearing aids and on audio streaming, so we do not publish a number of hours. In the consultation we go over your habits and the manufacturer's documents. Read more

What do I do when something does not work?

Start with simple, safe checks: charging, Bluetooth, filter and dome. If that does not help, contact G-Sound by phone or WhatsApp on 055-3333338. When a laboratory check is needed, G-Sound coordinates further treatment with the authorized service laboratory for Philips and Oticon in Ramat Gan. Read more
