What Zeal includes, according to Oticon

According to Oticon, Zeal combines a rechargeable battery, a Bluetooth LE Audio connection and AI-based sound processing in a small in-the-ear hearing aid. In its technical documentation, Oticon states that the components and the battery are sealed inside the body of the device.

  • In the ear: worn with a regular dome or a MicroMold, chosen at a professional fitting.
  • Rechargeable: a lithium-ion battery and a portable charger (SmartCharger).
  • Bluetooth LE Audio: streaming, calls and Auracast broadcasts.
  • IP68: dust-tight and protected against water getting in during everyday use (not for showering or swimming).

How Zeal is fitted

Fitting is not decided by how the hearing aid looks. A professional looks at the shape of the ear, the hearing needs and comfort before choosing a dome or a MicroMold. This does not mean that the shell of the hearing aid itself is made to the shape of your ear.

According to Oticon’s instructions for use, Zeal is fitted with a regular dome, which comes in several types, or with a custom MicroMold. Whether a given option is offered in Israel, and whether it suits a particular case, is checked separately.

How discreet is Zeal?

In its technical documentation, Oticon describes Zeal as its smallest in-the-ear hearing aid with full functionality. It sits inside the ear, and how much shows from outside depends on the shape of the ear and on the dome or MicroMold. So the question of appearance is answered in the ear itself, at the fitting appointment.

The instructions for use recommend charging every night.
