Custom Earplugs for Construction and Infrastructure Workers
In short: On a building site, in road works or in a renovation, the noise comes from different tools and changes from hour to hour. The crew changes too: subcontractors, seasonal workers and new sites. For construction and infrastructure workers, G-Sound makes a noise earplug to the measurement of each worker's ear. We come by appointment, take the measurement, and the earplug is sent to you. You can contact us as an individual worker or on behalf of a company. The type of protection for each task on site is decided by the professionals in your company; we are responsible for making the earplug to the measurement and for the use you described. We come to your factory, worksite or office, take an ear measurement for each employee, and the earplugs are sent to you by mail.

Why a building site is different
On a building site the work does not stay in one place. Today it is a breaker, tomorrow a saw or a compressor, and next week a different site. An earplug that goes in and out many times a day needs to sit comfortably in the ear. That is one of the reasons workers and site managers look into an earplug made to measure.
- Outdoor work. Heat, dust and dirt are part of the day. Tell us about the conditions so we understand the use.
- Helmet and other protection. If the workers wear a helmet, safety glasses or ear defenders, mention it in the conversation.
- Communication with the crew. Equipment operators, crane signallers and workers who receive spoken instructions: tell us whether the worker needs to hear speech or signals while working.
- On-and-off use. Someone who wears the earplug for only part of the shift needs a place to keep it in between. More on that below.

Contacts us directly. We come to them by appointment, take the measurement, and the earplug is sent to them.
Contractor with a permanent crew
Contacts us on behalf of the crew. We find out how many workers are interested and whether they all need the same type of earplug.
Company with several sites
The request is coordinated through one contact person. Where the measurements are taken, and the arrangements, are checked in advance for each case.
What to tell us when you get in touch
- The type of work: construction, renovation, road works, infrastructure or maintenance.

- Where it is convenient to take the measurements: at the company offices, on site or at the worker's home. The location is checked in advance.
- Any additional need, such as an earplug for sleeping after a night shift. Each earplug is made for its main use, so tell us about all of them.
How it works

- The earplug is made to the measurement, from a flexible material. The production time is given after the measurement is taken.
- The earplugs are sent to you.

Keeping the earplug safe on site
On a building site it is easy to lose an earplug or put it down somewhere dusty. Give it a fixed place, such as a case in your pocket or bag, and look after it according to the instructions that come with it. We cover cleaning and storage in general in our care and hygiene guide. Can measurements be taken for workers directly on the building site?
Where the measurements are taken is checked in advance for each case. Tell us where suits you and we will look at the options.
Our crew keeps changing. What happens with a new worker?
Each earplug is made to the measurement of that worker's own ear, so a new worker needs their own measurement. You can contact us again when they join.
Does the earplug work with a helmet?
Tell us in the conversation about the helmet and the protective equipment the workers wear. Suitability for the use is checked case by case.
A worker lost their earplug. Do we need a new measurement?
Not always. Where suitable, a reorder can be made from the saved measurement. Before that, we check whether it can be used.
