Philips TV Adapter: pairing, setup and no sound

How to pair the Philips TV Adapter with HearLink hearing aids, and what to do when there is no sound.

Pairing the TV Adapter

  1. Make sure the TV Adapter is connected to power and to the TV.
  2. (Rechargeable) Restart the hearing aids to enter pairing mode: put them in the charger and take them out.
  3. (Battery model) Restart the hearing aids to enter pairing mode: open the battery doors and close them.
  4. Place the hearing aids on the TV Adapter. Two flashing blue lights mean pairing is in progress. This takes up to 60 seconds.
  5. Wait until the lights are steady blue. That means pairing is complete.
  6. Switch the hearing aids to the TV program: with the program button, in the HearLink 2 app, or with the Philips remote control.
  7. TV volume in your ears: use the volume button on the hearing aids or the app. The TV remote usually does not change it.
  8. To stop hearing the TV, switch to another program.

No sound from the TV?

  1. Check that you are in the TV program, and that the adapter is on and connected.
  2. Reset the adapter's pairings: press the red button on the adapter for 5 seconds. The lights fade out in blue. Then pair again from the start.
  3. It is better to connect the adapter to the TV's optical output, for better sound quality. The exact setting depends on your TV model.
