Philips HearLink charger: charging and charging times

Standard charger, portable charger and charging times for Philips HearLink.

Your hearing aids use a replaceable battery

  1. Your model has no charger. Check that the battery is the right way round and that the door is fully closed.
  2. Check that the battery still has power. If not, replace it with a new battery.
  3. Wipe the battery with a dry cloth.
  4. When not in use, leave the battery door open.
  5. The battery size depends on the model: 312, 13 or 675. The size is printed on the battery pack you received with the hearing aids.

Standard charger (Charger)

  1. Connect the charger to power: the USB cable into the back of the charger, and the plug into the wall socket.
  2. Green light on the charger = the charger is on and ready.
  3. Place each hearing aid on the correct side: red = right, blue = left.
  4. While charging, the lights on the hearing aids are orange. If not, take the hearing aids out and put them back in the charger.
  5. If the hearing aids have not been used for a long time, charging may only start after up to 30 seconds.
  6. Green light on the hearing aids = fully charged. When you take them out of the charger, they turn on by themselves.
  7. Use the original power supply (5V/1A). Computer or car: a USB 2.0 port with at least 500mA.

Portable charger (Charger Plus)

  1. The first time, fully charge the portable charger itself. This can take up to 4 hours.
  2. Flashing orange light on the charger = its battery is too low to charge the hearing aids. Connect it to power.
  3. Note: an empty portable charger that is not connected to power does not turn the hearing aids off, and they keep draining.

Manufacturer charging times

  1. (HearLink 50) HearLink 50: one hour of charging for a full day, and 15 minutes for about 4 hours of hearing (based on average use).
  2. (HearLink 40) HearLink 40 rechargeable: full charge in about 3 hours.
  3. (HearLink 30) HearLink 30 rechargeable: full charge in about 3 hours.
